ECA Group has secured three naval simulator supply contracts, worth more than €6m, from undisclosed customers in Asia.

The first contract requires the company to supply a sonar simulator that is designed to train ships’ crews to operate different types of sonars present on board.

ECA’s SonSim is an entry level, PC-based training simulator that can be adapted to simulate any sonar system, ranging from active to passive sensors, used on-board submarines, warships, anti-submarine warfare (ASW) helicopters or maritime patrol aircraft.
