The US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has awarded a contract to Engility Holdings to provide technical support and test analysis in support of the Joint and Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) family of systems.
Under the $14m re-compete cost plus fixed fee (CPFF) award, the company will extend its services for an additional five years.

Engility will continue serving the JEXC2 family of systems at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Panama City Division (PCD).
More specifically, this contract deals with the deployable joint command and control (DJC2) system.
Engility president and CEO Tony Smeraglinolo said: "Engility’s customers at NSWC PCD have a vital mission to ensure our forces have access to the best-possible command, control, computers, communications and intelligence (C4I) subsystems, networks, and accompanying infrastructure.
"This extension reflects the outstanding support we have provided to this important programme, and it continues our decades-long relationship with the PCD."
The JEXC2 systems are designed to provide the armed forces with a wide range of technology and communications systems.
The DJC2 enables combat commanders to have a standardised core command and control capability, which plays a key role during joint force operations.
As part of the contract, Engility evaluates and demonstrates potential technology upgrades and delivers lifecycle support to the systems.
In March this year, the company was contracted to develop and execute simulation-based war games for the US Navy’s Pacific Theatre forces, as part of efforts to support tactical warfare training.
