Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has received a $260m contract modification from the US Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division to upgrade four P-3B aircraft by December 2023.

The deal will see the contractor provide structural mid-life upgrades, new avionics, tailored phased depot maintenance and a country-specific designed mission integration and management system.

The contractor will also offer training and support equipment as part of the arrangement, as well as research and development services for the weapon control systems.
