Rockwell Collins Government Systems has secured a $288.54m contract to manufacture and deliver the AN/ARC-210 family of radio equipment.

The AN/ARC-210 radios to be procured under the contract will be delivered to the US Navy, US Air Force, US Marine Corps, and foreign military sales customers.

The contract is a modification to a previous contract awarded by the US Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division.

Contractual work will be performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, until September 2021.

General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Co (NASSCO) has secured a $147.65m contract for work on the US Navy’s USS Cowpens (CG 63) guided missile cruiser.

The contract includes maintenance, repair, and modernisation of the USS Cowpens ship with work being carried out in San Diego, California, until December 2019.

“The Boeing Company has secured a $152.49m contract to provide infrared search and track system (IRST) for the US Navy’s F/A-18E/F fighter aircraft.”

BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair has secured a contract for the modernisation period availability of the US Navy’s USS Gettysburg (CG 64) guided-missile cruiser.

Awarded by the US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), the contract includes maintenance, modernisation and repair of the USS Gettysburg cruiser.

Work under the contract will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia, until March 2020.

The Boeing Company has secured a $152.49m contract to provide infrared search and track system (IRST) for the US Navy’s F/A-18E/F fighter aircraft.

Awarded by the US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), the contract covers design, development, integration and testing of the IRST Block II, Phase II engineering change.

The IRST Block II system will replace the old IRST Block I system.

Contractual work will be carried out in Orlando, Florida, and St Louis, Missouri, until December 2021.

Israel’s Ministry of Defense, the Israel Navy and the Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&D) have placed an order with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for Barak-8 air and missile defence systems.

The Barak-8 systems to be supplied under the deal will be installed on the Israeli Navy’s Sa’ar-6 corvettes and strengthen their operational capabilities against a range of land, air, and sea-based threats.
