Comtech Telecommunications’ subsidiary has received a contract to support the Iraqi Navy’s existing command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) maritime surveillance system.

Under the deal, Comtech Systems will be responsible for delivering equipment and services in support of the maritime surveillance system.

Valued at $9.1m, the sole-sourced contract has been awarded by the US Navy’s Program Executive Office (PEO) C4I International C4I Integration Program Office (PMW 740).

Comtech will deliver thermal imaging radar, together with the company’s advanced digital troposcatter communications systems and backhaul microwave terminals.
