CGI has received a ten-year contract to develop an electronic procurement system for the US Navy and Marine Corps (USMC).
The contract is valued at $222.9m and was awarded by the Space and Naval War Systems Command (SPAWAR) Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems.
CGI will develop a contract writing system that will provide standardised contract and procurement management for services, supplies, construction, and grants.
The company will use its Momentum Acquisitions software to provide a single, enterprise-wide contract writing and management system for the services.
The software will enable navy and USMC to process their contract requirements electronically.
In addition, it will provide the capability to interface with other US Department of Defense (DoD), federal, financial, and industry systems.
