NHRC carries out core research regarding operational readiness, military health and infectious diseases.
Under the operational readiness area, NHRC uses breakthroughs for the optimisation of human performance, recovery, and resilience, as well as to avoid injuries.
Additionally, it is involved in the development of medical planning, logistics and decision support tools for the armed forces.
Leidos will continue to offer data-driven research modelling to aid operational medicine.
According to the company, the modelling is expected to boost the medical decision tools used by operational commanders, medical logisticians, and field medical personnel.
In January last year, Leidos obtained a contract from the US NMLC to provide research support services at its NHRC.
