Serco has secured a three-year contract extension to provide training and support services at HMAS Watson in Sydney, Australia.
Under the extended contract, the company will continue to provide high-quality simulator-based maritime warfare training services on behalf of Royal Australian Navy (RAN).
The three-year extension follows a successful rebid by Serco in December 2020.
With the extension, the contract period will continue until 30 June 2026.
Serco Defence managing director Clint Thomas said: “I am incredibly proud of our dedicated team at HMAS Watson and look forward to continuing to build the skills of the Australian Defence Force by providing high-quality and specialist training on behalf of the navy.”
“Serco delivered significant innovation to the contract during this time, providing adaptable and enhanced training to prepare students for the demanding scenarios they will face in their careers.”
