July 2022 has seen a decrease of 1.68% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 9.32% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering a decrease of 0.39% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 55% in July 2022, a 15.38% drop over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 35% in July 2022, marking a 50% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Research Scientists with a share of 5% in July 2022, a 75% drop from June 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 39.39% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s aerospace, defence & security industry during July 2022 over previous month.
Elbit Systems posted 11 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a decline of 52.17% over the previous month, followed by V2X with 5 jobs and a 44.44% drop. Defense Support Services with 2 IT jobs and MAG Aerospace with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Raytheon Technologies recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s aerospace, defence & security industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 55% share in July 2022, a 52.17% decrease over June 2022. Kuwait featured next with a 25% share, down 28.57% over the previous month. South Sudan recorded a 10% share, a flat growth compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80%, down by 33.33% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 20% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
