The UK Ministry of Defence has awarded a support services contract worth $432.64m to Babcock International Technology Limited.
The scope of the deal includes the provision of engineering and technical support services, repair and maintenance, and electronic and electrical spare parts.
BAE Systems has secured a contract worth approximately $4.81bn to build first three ships under the UK Ministry of Defence's Type 26 Global Combat Ship (GCS) programme.
The Type 26 ships are intended to replace the Type 23 frigates and are set to be used for a variety of missions, including anti-submarine warfare and humanitarian assistance.
A joint venture between BAE Systems and Rockwell Collins known as Data Link Solutions has won a $47.5m deal to supply radio systems for the US and coalition forces through August 2018.
The contractor will supply Multifunctional Information Distribution System Joint Tactical Radio Systems (MIDS JTRS) for tactical data links under the arrangement.

The contracted parts will be used for repairs of the AN / ALQ-240 installed on the US Navy’s P-8A aircraft.
The deal was awarded by the US Naval Surface Warfare Center and is scheduled to be completed in October 2020.
KBRwyle Technology Solutions has been awarded a $27.16m contract to provide support services for the US Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems Branch.
The agreement includes the supply of engineering and technical services, and integration, testing, evaluation and maintenance of Air Traffic Control Systems Division equipment up to August 2022.
