General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has secured a new single-award contract with a potential value of approximately $244m from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Virginia, US.
The new training services deal for the Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS) comes with a one-year base period and four additional option years.
GDIT will be responsible for providing the US Navy with training and training-related programme support services across the CSCS domain as part of the arrangement.
The scope of the project covers curriculum development and advanced warfare training for CSCS’ 15 learning sites, as well as detachments and international programmes.
The US Navy will update curriculum and training-related programmes for surface force operations and combat systems worldwide under the initiative.

GDIT is also set to offer instructor support, training aids and programme management services to NSWCDD, reported Washington Technology.
The company has delivered domain training and tactical warfare support to the CSCS since 2012.
General Dynamics supports the US Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies as a primary source of training, network, and system engineering, installation, maintenance and logistical services.
