The United States Naval Observatory (USNO) has selected NovAtel’s GPS Anti-Jam Technology (GAJT) to support its Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CRPA) capability at sites throughout the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN).
A core global enterprise network of the US military, the DoDIN requires secure and sensitive voice, data, video, and bandwidth services.
The latest order increases the number of NovAtel GAJT antennas to more than 600 ordered by the US Navy.
NovAtel president and CEO Michael Ritter said: “This order underlines our ability to deliver GAJT in volume and on time.
"GAJT has now been shipped and is in use operationally by 12 allied nations around the globe. We are grateful for the rigorous technology selection process conducted by USNO which led to this latest order.”
GAJT secures GPS-based navigation and precise timing receivers from intentional jamming and accidental interferences.

By GlobalDataIt has been designed as a null-forming antenna system that ensures the availability of satellite signals necessary to compute position and time.
GAJT is available as a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product, and comes in versions suitable for land, sea, fixed installations and smaller platforms such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
It can be used to secure military vehicles and platforms, networks and timing infrastructure, and there is no need to replace the already installed GPS receivers, as it works with civil and military receivers, and is ready for M-Code.
