SAIC has been awarded a $12m, five-year contract by Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) to continue its support for the Tactical Training Group Pacific’s (TTGP) fleet training programme, announced on 13 August 2024.
The contract involves providing professional technical services for Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) and Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) war game development and execution. SAIC will offer instruction in combat doctrine and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP), using government-provided training systems and facilities both at sea and on land.
“This contract reinforces SAIC’s reputation for providing the mission-critical training to the U.S. Navy since 1992,” said Barbara Supplee, executive vice president, Navy Business Group at SAIC. “We are fully committed to delivering excellence in every aspect of the support we provide to ensure that the Navy’s training needs are reliably and efficiently met.”
SAIC’s support of the U.S. Navy’s TTGP is underpinned by its FST capabilities, which integrate advanced LVC environments to create realistic, mission-ready scenarios. The approach enables Navy personnel to practice and refine their skills in a controlled setting that mirrors real-world combat situations.
SAIC’s FST program also emphasises flexibility, allowing for adjustments in training to meet evolving naval requirements, ensuring that personnel remain proficient in current and emerging tactics.
This contract also supports Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific, Carrier Strike Group 15, and TTGP, Yokosuka in their mission to enhance the tactical proficiency of Navy personnel in combat and joint operations.
