The company also signed a contract with the Norwegian Defence Material Agency (NDMA) to provide a complete communication system for the Royal Norwegian Navy, known as TactiCall Integrated Communication System (TactiCall ICS).
In the area of communications the company secured a contract to provide a Digital Tower solution for the UK Navy, the technology enables air traffic services to be conducted remotely. Saab also won a low-rate initial production (LRIP) option from the US Navy for delivery of its AN/SPN-50(V)1 shipboard air traffic radar.
The company has also been working on mine neutralisers, being awarded a contract to supply its Multi-Shot Mine Neutralisation System (MuMNS) to the UK-French Maritime Mine Countermeasure (MMCM) programme, under the programme, the MuMNS system will be operated from an uncrewed surface vessel (USV) and will ultimately be in service with the UK Royal Navy and French Marine Nationale.
