France’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 7.0% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 12.66% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.48% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.05% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in France’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.59% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s aerospace, defence & security industry in September 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 45.07% in September 2022, registering a 146.15% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 30.99% share, a decrease of 2.22% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.38%, registering a 375% rise from August 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 6.34%, up 125% over the previous month.

Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 101.45% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s aerospace, defence & security industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Airbus posted 71 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 273.68% over the previous month, followed by Thales with 36 jobs and a 157.14% growth. European Space Agency with 17 IT jobs and Naval Group with 10 jobs, recorded a 43.33% decline and a 100% growth, respectively, while Safran recorded an increase of 400% with 5 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.17%, up by 98.21% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.61% share, registered an increase of 8.7% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.23% share, up 200% over August 2022.
