
France’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered an 8.6% rise in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 12.76% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.21% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 0.46% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.08% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s aerospace, defence & security industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.68% in October 2022, registering a 78.26% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 25.81% share, an increase of 19.15% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 6.91%, registering a 66.67% rise from September 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 5.53%, down 40% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 65.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s aerospace, defence & security industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Thales posted 116 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 222.22% over the previous month, followed by Airbus with 37 jobs and a 47.89% drop. Safran with 22 IT jobs and Groupe Industriel Marcel Dassault with 20 jobs, recorded an 83.33% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Naval Group recorded an increase of 80% with 18 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.27%, up by 32.5% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15.67% share, registered an increase of 466.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 11.06% share, down 4% over September 2022.
