ManTech has secured a $45m contract from the US Navy’s Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane for the development of surveillance, tracking, and threat identification sensors for Hawkeye aircraft.

The company will develop and upgrade technology for the sensors on the PMA-231 Hawkeye aircraft of the US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).

Safran and Thomas Global Systems will develop hardware for Safran’s naval systems, including submarine optronics and navigation systems.

The latest partnership is an extension to a deal signed by Safran and Thomas Global in early 2018 for the development of PASEO sighting system for Land 400 and 907 programmes.

The Indian Navy has awarded a multi-year contract worth Rs35bn ($475m) to Sterlite Tech to design, build and manage its digital network.

Sterlite Tech will create communication networks with high capacity end-to-end connectivity, connecting naval sites and islands administered by India.

The project will enable India to compete with advanced naval forces of the world. It will also enable the navy to take real-time decisions, and expedite the decision-making and future-readiness capabilities.

A collaboration between BAE Systems, Atlantic & Peninsula Australia, Saab, and Navantia will support the Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN) landing helicopter dock (LHD) assets.

The consortium will ensure the optimisation, sustainment, and maintenance of LHD assets.

BAE Systems is the main contractor for RAN’s Canberra-class project and will provide support services for the vessels for an initial period of five years.

The US Navy’s Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) and Rockwell Collins have signed a four-year extension agreement for support on avionics displays on the US Navy’s F/A-18 fleet of more than 1,200 aircraft.

The latest contract extends the original 15-year performance-based logistics (PBL) contract.

Rockwell Collins will provide engineering support, configuration management, and programme management for its equipment and system on the aircraft.
