Rolls-Royce Corporation has secured a $31.03m contract modification to continue to supply 12 AE1107C turboshaft engines for the US Navy’s V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft.
The company will also supply two AE1107C engines for the US Marine Corps’ V-22 Osprey aircraft.

Gulf Island Shipyards LLC has been contracted by the US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) for work on the Towing, Salvage and Rescue Ship (T-ATS).
The company will provide detailed design and construction services for the T-ATS through September 2020, as part of the $63.56m deal.
The deal has $522.7m options for the acquisition of seven additional T-ATS ships.
Vigor Marine LLC has secured a contract to perform repair and alteration work for dry-docking selected restricted availability (DSRA) of DDG 51-class destroyers.
Awarded by the US Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, the contract includes work on DSRA’s warehousing, lay-down, office spaces, utilities, security, crane support, galley services and other ship assets.
The contractual work will be performed in Seattle, Washington, US, until September 2020.
KBR Inc has received a $69.3m maintenance services contract for the Light Airborne Multipurpose System (LAMPS) MK III air-to-ground digital datalink.
The company will provide full life-cycle support services, including engineering, test and evaluation, logistics, training, repair and maintenance, and technical management.
The contract was awarded by the US Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division. It also includes delivery of uninterrupted installation support for the modernisation of the LAMPS-equipped fleet with a high-speed Ku-band link.
GE’s Marine Solutions has been selected to deliver LM2500 marine gas turbines for the US Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers (DDGs).
The gas turbines to be supplied by GE will power the USS Louis H Wilson Jr (DDG 126) and the USS Gallagher (DDG 127), which are currently under construction at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works’ facility in Bath, Maine, US.
