ECS mission systems vice-president Luis ColonCastro said: “We are proud of our longstanding relationship with the USMC.
“Training management is key to mission readiness. M-SHARP provides marines with the critical, comprehensive marine aviation training they need to protect the nation.”

By GlobalDataECS will bring enhanced functionality to M-SHARP under the contract.
The company will enable increased use of simulator and ground-unit and implement a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for software development.
Efforts will also include increasing functionality on multiplatform-based systems. The improved functionality will also deliver comprehensive security through redundant data storage and secure help-desk feature.
To deliver the work, the firm will use its experience as a systems integrator (SI) for the Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS).
ECS president George Wilson said: “ECS has supported similar systems for the USMC for the past 16 years. This award positions us as the leader in both ground and aviation training management systems for the Marine Corps.”
In February 2017, TECOM invited proposals to support the M-SHARP programme.
M-SHARP serves as a standardised platform for the operational units to schedule and plan flight training and combat missions.
The application also helps the fleet to improve training readiness to the expected levels.
