The Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) has contracted Elbit Systems Sweden to deliver the Albatross Combat Management Systems (CMS).
The Israel-based company’s Swedish subsidiary secured the contract after a competitive tender procedure.
According to Elbit Systems, this contract holds a value that is ‘not material’ to it.
The deal will stay valid for a duration of 34 months.
The Royal Swedish Navy will deploy the Albatross CMS onboard the Spårö Class Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Vessels.
Albatross, which is built on the Elbit Systems’ E-CIX platform, is a scalable open architecture CMS. E-CIX is a modular framework that can accommodate third party applications.

Elbit Systems Sweden General Manager Tobias Wennberg said: “We appreciate the trust placed by the Swedish Defense Material Administration and the Swedish Armed Forces in our solutions. Elbit Systems sees a growing demand for its naval portfolio, with this award joining recent contract awards from maritime customers across Europe and Asia Pacific.”
Last September, Elbit Systems won contracts to provide anti-submarine warfare (ASW) capabilities to an undisclosed Asian-Pacific navy.
