Indra has signed a deal with Atlas Elektronik to provide Rigel electronic defence systems for the German Navy.
Under the contract, Indra will supply five Rigel radar electronic support measures/radar electronic countermeasures systems (RESM/RECM).
The electronic defence systems will be installed on the German Navy’s second series of K130 corvette-class ships.
In June, Atlas Elektronik and Thales Deutschland partnered to provide the combat system of the German class K130 corvette.
Atlas Elektronik will deliver the combat system hardware for the latest set of five ships.
Indra’s Rigel RESM/RECM system is designed to provide the ship with a capability to track the electromagnetic space and detect active radar emissions when operating in complex environments.
