General Dynamics Electric Boat has agreed to procure long lead time materials for the SSN 802 and SSN 803 Virginia-class submarines under a new $126.52m contract.

The deal was awarded by the US Naval Sea Systems Command, and work is scheduled to be completed by January 2018.

BWX Technologies, Inc. has secured a $784m option contract from the US Navy to manufacture and procure naval nuclear components under the US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Programme.

Materials acquired as part of the contract will be used in the construction of Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carriers and Virginia-class submarines.

Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office has won a contract worth $58.32m to provide software maintenance support for the US Navy’s V-22 Osprey military transport aircraft through December 2019.

The contract was awarded by US Naval Air Systems Command, and will cover engineering, technical support and upgrades to the V-22’s avionics software flight control systems.

The US Strategic Systems Programs has awarded a $540.83m contract modification to Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. for production of the Trident II (D5) submarine-launched ballistic missile.

Lockheed Martin will also provide deployed system support for the Trident II D5 missile as part oft he agreement, which is due to run through September 2021.

India-based Reliance Defence and Engineering Limited (RDEL) has entered a deal with the US Navy to provide ship repair and alteration services.

The master ship repair agreement requires RDEL to perform repair works on the US Navy’s Seventh Fleet, which consists of more than 100 vessels including auxiliaries.
