The Royal Canadian Navy has awarded an in-service support contract worth $629.35m to Thales In-Service Support.
Thales will provide repairs, maintenance, refits and training for arctic and offshore patrol ships (AOPS) and joint support ships (JSS) under the deal.
The agreement has an initial base period of eight years with options to extend the contract for a maximum of 35 years, which will bring the total value of the deal to $4.09bn if all are exercised.
The US Naval Facilities Engineering Command has awarded a five-year support services contract worth $235m to Bering Sea Eccotech Inc and three other companies.
A variety of range sustainment, munitions response actions and remediation services will be provided as part of the arrangement, as well as munitions and environmental-related services to support the US Navy and Marine Corps operations in the continental US (CONUS) and outside the continental US (OCONUS).

The US Naval Air Systems Command has awarded a $427.09m deal to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in support of low-rate initial production (LRIP) Lot 11 F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft.

The contract is set to run for a 14-month period and covers maintenance and logistics support for aircraft, search-and-rescue equipment, systems / subsystems aircrew solutions and support equipment for a range of aircraft such as the F/A-18 Hornet, T-39 Sabreliner, AV-8B Harrier II, C-130 Hercules, H-60 Black Hawk, and P-3 Orion.
The deal has been awarded by the US Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division.
