MacAulay-Brown (MacB) has secured a multi-year basic ordering agreement (BOA) to support the naval air systems command (NAVAIR) cyber warfare detachment (CWD) initiative.

The initiative seeks to provide a full range of cyber warfighting capabilities for navy aircraft, weapons, and related aviation systems and subsystems along with ashore and afloat enterprise systems.

Under the contract, MacB will provide support for cyber penetration testing and penetration tool development, full spectrum operational cyber warfare support and protection solutions and systems integration services.

The company will also develop system definition and architecture and provide risk assessments and assessment methods.

"Being chosen to support NAVAIR’s cyber warfare detachment showcases our experience delivering key cyber technologies at a rapid pace for our warfighting customers."

MacB National Security Group (NSG) senior vice-president and general manager Dan Gutierrez said: “Being chosen to support NAVAIR’s cyber warfare detachment showcases our experience delivering key cyber technologies at a rapid pace for our warfighting customers.

“Our team continues to meet and exceed customer expectations in a challenging and ever-changing cyber domain.”

The NAVAIR CWD is responsible for developing and validating cyber warfare capabilities for mission assurance and to defend weapon and support systems such as aircraft, unmanned vehicles, sensors, and corresponding maintenance, communications, and logistic systems.

The detachment seeks to develop the cyber workforce and invest in infrastructure and research, and establish standards and best practices for future cyber acquisitions.

In 2013, MacB secured a task order from the US Navy to enhance a web-based collaboration for US fleet cyber command – commander TENTH fleet (FCC-C10F) and navy network warfare command (NETWARCOM).
