Vertex Aerospace has secured a position on the US Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) multiple award contract (MAC).
The contract will see the delivery of a range of supplies and services aimed at enhancing the Naval Air Systems Command’s fleet readiness in the Patuxent River, Maryland.
Under Lot II status, Florida-based Vertex’s Aircraft Integration & Sustainment (AIS) division secured a seat under the full-rate production (FRP) indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract.
Work under each $750m task order is expected to conclude by April 2031. The maximum ceiling value for all contracts is $7.14bn.
Funds will be awarded to individual orders when being issued.
The AIS site is co-located at the Bob Sikes Airport, which provides an 8,000ft runway for all aircraft sizes.
