Earlier in 2014, the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) had awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to OIW to support the CCM Mk1 special-operations craft programme.
OIW will develop, test, produce, field and sustain a modern, clandestine and operationally capable combatant-craft system.
Work under the contract will be conducted in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, US.
C4I cortex is a ground and maritime platform which integrates various subsystems of the vessel and allows the user to control all the systems from a single workstation.
This software suite is open-standards based and allows for flexible and easy integration of future capabilities and features, while the hardware suite includes ruggedised displays, computers and servers.
Kongsberg Integrated Tactical Systems president Asmund Groven said: "We look forward to working closely with OIW and the rest of the CCM team to deliver on this contract."
The US Government has issued $17.5m to OIW for test-article refurbishment and the purchase of long-lead items and low-rate initial production units. The maximum potential value of the CCM Mk1 programme is $400m.
If all options are exercised, it will continue until December 2021.
