Under the indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract, CACI will provide engineering and development support of control, communication, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (C5ISR) solutions for the navy while allowing information dominance for the nation’s naval, joint, national and coalition troops.
The DS support services include providing entire spectrum of non-inherently governmental services and solutions associated with the full system lifecycle support of the US Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Atlantic business portfolios.
The full system lifecycle support includes research, development, test, evaluation, production and fielding of sustainable, secure, survivable, and interoperable command, C5ISR, information operations, enterprise information services and space capabilities.
CACI US operations president and chief operating officer John Mengucci said that the company would provide tools and resources for better decision-making for the US Navy while leveraging its command and control capabilities, as well as processes.
Companies involved in the DS support services contract include Booz Allen Hamilton, Centurum Information Technology, CSC, Glotech, Honeywell, Engility, Lockheed Martin, MC Dean, Qinetiq, SAIC, Sotera Defense, Scientific Research, ManTech Systems in addition to CACI.
The multiple-award contract is valued at $179m for one-year base period of performance; and if four one-year options are exercised, the cost of the contract would be $899m for all the awardees.
Scheduled to be completed by March 2014, work will be carried worldwide and could conclude in March 2018 if all options are exercised.
The US Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic will serve as the contracting activity.
