The UK Navy has selected BAE Systems to provide extensive restoration for its oldest commissioned warship HMS Victory, also known as the Battle of Trafalgar, in order to preserve the ship for the next ten years and beyond.

Under the five-year £16m ($21.5m) contract, BAE will refurbish the ship and install a new fire suppression system at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, UK.
Work on the ship will also include the replacement of planking and repairs to the middle-gun deck.
The maintenance work on the frigate began earlier this year with the removal of its masts, booms, rigging and other sections.
The contract has an additional five-year option.
