The navy vessels include two guided missile destroyers, INS Rana and INS Ranjit, a fleet tanker, INS Jyothi, and a missile corvette, INS Kulish.
All five ships are on their way back home after a month-long deployment on the eastern seaboard.
During the deployment, the ships visited the ports in Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei, Thailand, Australia and Malaysia, and carried out passage exercises with these navies.
The Dorniers will return after the completion of surveillance missions. The ships are expected to return to Indian waters by the end of this month.
