The contract covers the delivery of 76mm / 62 caliber TP ammunition for the OTO MELARA cannon.
The award has taken place after an open competition process, to which the main manufacturers of this kind of rounds. Hence, Italy joins the list of Nato countries which have chosen EXPAL as a provider for this ammunition.
EXPAL develops and manufactures 76mm naval artillery ammunition, in its high explosive, pre-formed fragments, target practice, and target practice with tracer versions.
All of the components which form EXPAL’s naval artillery; fuzes, shells, primers and projection loads are fully manufactured by EXPAL, under its own design and manufacturing, which ensures their perfect integration.
