L-3 Communications MAPPS, a wholly owned subsidiary of L-3 Communications, announced today that the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) has confirmed that L-3 MAPPS maintains a quality management system that conforms to the ISO 9001:2000 international standard for its Marine Systems and Simulation, Power Systems and Simulation and Space Systems and Simulation businesses.

There are no exclusions to the scope of the registration, which includes hardware and software design and development, product realization, sales and service.

Following the acquisition of the division by L-3 Communications from CAE Inc. in February 2005, L-3 MAPPS has continued to implement its quality management system under its previous registration with the CGSB’s consent.

“Our personnel know that quality must be designed and built into everything that we do,” said Rashid Khan, president of L-3 MAPPS. “We are pleased that the CGSB has recognized our continued commitment to quality.”
