Navantia has signed a contract with BAE Systems to support the sustainment of the Australian Landing Helicopter Docks (LHDs).
Through this agreement, Navantia will support the Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) and the Diesel Generator system, as well as provide technical assistance in the sustainment of the ships.
This contract will help Navantia meet its objectives in relation to the engagement of Through Life Services.
It will also aid the firm in its long-term in Australia, as it will benefit the relationship with the local industry and customer, while increasing its footprint in country by means of placing a technical team and associated infrastructure in Sydney.
