The Qatar Navy’s Technical Commitee visited the Spanish Navy’s maritime action ship (BAM), the Relámpago, in Doha, Qatar.
The Relámpago features similar configurations to the AVANTE 1800, a ship Navantia has previously presented to the Qatar Navy. The two vessels both contain similar habilitation, systems and command-and-control features.
The Spanish Navy has provided a high level of support to the commercial operations of Navantia, who is one of their chief suppliers.
