DSIT Solutions, a subsidiary of Acorn Energy, announced today that it has received an order for four Hull Mounted Sonar (HMS) systems and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer.
The value of the order is $15.4m. The customer placing the order is an undisclosed Asian navy, undergoing significant modernization process. The systems are expected to be delivered over a period of three years with the ASW Trainer delivered in 2016.
DSIT’S sales and marketing vice-president Dan Ben-Dov commented: "DSIT has a long experience, of more than 20 years, in the area of HMS systems development. Yet, this order is of strategic importance to us. We are excited by the potential of cooperation with this expanding fleet."
DSIT CEO Benny Sela remarked: "DSIT plans to continue its efforts to win larger projects and to successfully deliver them to our new and returning customers. This new project puts another brick in DSIT’s ‘wall’ of sonar technology, making it richer and more advanced than ever before."
