Under the contract, Thales will supply four APX systems to the Dutch and Belgian Navies to equip M-class frigates as part of a modernisation agreement between the two navies.
The new APX system uses a combination of advanced analogue and digital receivers, signal processing and identification algorithms to provide improved situational awareness, threat warning and intelligence gathering capabilities.
Thales Nederland BV CEO Gerben Edelijn said the company would deliver a mature and flexible RESM solution to the two navies.
