Pakistani Navy chief Admiral Noman Bashir said that the missile craft construction project, undertaken by China, will help the navy to prepare to counter regional peace and security threats.
The Press Trust of India reported that the missile craft is equipped with advanced weaponry, sensors and the C802A surface-to-surface missile with stealth features.
The Pakistani Navy earlier signed a contract with Offshore International Company (CSOC) and China Shipbuilding for the construction of the two modern missile craft.
The vessel is scheduled to be delivered to the Pakistani Navy by April 2012.
