The US Navy has awarded a combined construction contract worth $250m to five companies for general construction projects at the Navy’s Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) in northern Florida and southern Georgia.

Under the contract the companies will provide the construction work for the facilities which include aviation and aircraft, marine, barracks and personnel housing, administrative, warehouses and supply and security level.
The five companies are Sauer and The Haskell in Florida, Caddell Construction Company in Alabama, Roy Anderson Corporation in Mississippi and PCL Construction Services in Florida.
The contract will be carried out across locations including the Naval Air Station and Naval Station Mayport in Florida, Naval Submarine Base in Georgia, and in other areas of NAVFAC southeast.
