The US Navy has awarded a $76m contract to BAE Systems to provide support services to the navy’s security, automation and law enforcement technologies.

Under the contract, the company will provide engineering development, design, procurement, fabrication, configuration, installation, integration, logistics, maintenance and lifecycle support services for the navy’s security and automation systems.

The work will be carried out worldwide and is expected to be complete by January 2010.

The contract has been awarded by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic.
