Heavy equipment repair services company PKL Services will provide maintenance services for the helicopters used by the US Marine Corps, under a $16.9m contract awarded by the US Navy.

Under the contract, the company will provide organisational level maintenance for the helicopters which include the AH-1W Super Cobra, UH-1N Twin Huey, CH-53D Sea Stallion, CH-53E Super Stallion, and CH-46E Sea Knight.
The work will be carried out in the US as well as Iraq and Afghanistan and is expected to be complete by January 2010.
The contract has been awarded by the Naval Air Warfare Centre Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland.
