Atlas Elektronik will support the German Navy’s satellite communication systems under a contract awarded by EADS Astrium UK.
Under the partnership contract, the company will provide support services including procurement of spare parts, handling of repairs and customer service tasks and the on-board integration of upgrades for all SHF satellite communication systems of EADS Astrium UK.
In addition, Atlas will provide support services for the construction, integration, commissioning and in-service phases of the F125 Class frigate, that is currently under development for the German Navy by ARGE F125, a joint-venture of Thyssen-Krupp and Lürssen.
With the contract, Atlas will be the focal point for the ARGE F125 consortium, for the Federal Office of Defence Technology and Procurement, the German Navy and for the Naval Arsenal.
Atlas Elektronik has been providing support services for the German Navy’s satcom systems on ships, boats and at Naval Headquarters since 2002.
