The US Navy has awarded a $249m contract to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) to provide modelling, simulation and warfare analysis support to the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) assessment division (N81).

Under the five-year contract, SAIC will provide warfare support, campaign and mission-level analyses, and management, documentation, and modelling and simulation support for the navy’s OPNAV N81.

OPNAV N81 analyses all aspects of naval warfare and provides capability-based support requirements.

Work under the contract runs for five years and will be carried out in the national capital region.
