Lockheed Martin has received a $424m indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to supply tactical training products and services to support pilot training under the Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactical Training Range (AEWTTR) programme.
Under the terms of the contract, placed by the US Naval Air Warfare Center – Weapons Division (NAWC-WD), Lockheed will develop and supply threat radar emitter simulators and threat peripheral devices for pilot training for five years.
Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems has secured a $365.85m cost-plus-fixed-fee contract from the US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to manufacture and supply Aegis combat system components to the US Navy, the Republic of Korea and Japan until October 2022.
The contract requires that Raytheon deliver Aegis components such as AN/SPY-1D(V) Radar transmitter group, a MK 99 missile fire control system and associated services.
The Australian Department of Defence (DoD) has submitted a request for the sale of $301m-worth of armaments from the US under a foreign military sales programme.
The request includes 80 standard missiles (SM), SM-2 Block IIIB missiles, RIM-66M-09 and 15 MK 97 SM-2 Block IIIB guidance sections, MK 13 MOD 0 vertical launching system canisters, and engineering and technical services.
The US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has awarded a $106.17m contract to General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) to support the expeditionary mobile base 5 (ESB 5) until March next year.
Under the terms of the contract, General Dynamics NASSCO will procure engineering support, long lead materials, electronics, main diesel engines and other equipment.
Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training has been awarded a $62.4m contract by the US Navy for the development of the Aegis naval weapons system until June next year.
Under the terms of the contract, Lockheed will work on technical and operational characteristics of the combat system. The company will also provide operation and maintenance support for the combat system’s development and test facilities.
