Under the three-year $105m contract, GE Aviation will repair or replace T700 engine components installed on the navy’s Sikorsky H-60 Seahawk, Bell AH-1W/-1Z Cobra and UH-1Y Huey aircraft.
GE Turboshaft/Turboprop Services director Barry Burke said: "This new deal will allow us to continue to demonstrate top-quality parts availability to ensure T700 engines have optimum performance and readiness."
As part of the deal, GE Aviation will also provide engine component repair, as well as warehousing, inventory management, packing, shipping, electronic data interchange requisitioning and commercial asset visibility reporting transactions.
The T700/CT7 helicopter engine has been designed to power a range of commercial and military applications such as transport, utility and attack, medical evacuation, air rescue, special operations and marine patrol under adverse environmental conditions with minimal maintenance.
Work will be carried out in Arkansas City, Kansas, and is due to be complete by 30 September 2015.
The NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support will serve as the contracting activity.
It has delivered T700/CT7 turboprop and turboshaft engines to power 25 types of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, which are deployed in more than 50 countries.
