The US Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee, performance-based contract to multiple firms to provide command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (C5ISR) solutions.
The contract was competitively acquired through proposals and has been awarded to Client Solution Architects, Grove Resource Solutions, Gateway Ventures, Imagine One StraCon Venture, Predicate Logic, UEC Electronics, and Ursa Navigation Solutions.
Under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity deal, the companies will work independently to provide C5ISR services and solutions in support of mission capabilities within the production, installation and in-service support (PII) portfolio.
As well as to providing integration of C5ISR capabilities, the firms will practically test the services and solutions through large-scale integration to meet the mission requirements for navy’s surface and sub-surface platforms.
The multi-award contract has a base year value of $19.75m and also includes provisions for fixed-price-incentive and firm-fixed-price orders.
In addition, the contract has options, which when exercised will bring the cumulative value of the award to $98.76m.
Work under the contract is scheduled to be carried out worldwide and expected to be completed by August 2013; it is expected to continue until August 2017 should all options be exercised.
Under specified terms and conditions of the contract, the seven firms can compete for the task orders, while contract funds will not expire at the end of this year.
The US Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic will serve as the contracting activity base.
